Monochrome V Colour?

FineArt?        don't kid yourself!

My Results Suck - whats to do?

My work has that 'safe' look about it!

Wait a minute!!! I'm missing something. I have always shoot for 'story' not aesthetics. Story, record, interest, all come before 'art'. 'art' in my work is a happy accident. If I shoot for 'art' I usually loose the 'story'.

Explore why I can't do the 'sketchbook' thing that atists do!

Don't mix colour and Monochrome in collections.

Always shoot RAW

Take colour - convert later

Be more observent and patient

Look for 'story' but shoot for 'art'?

compose with two point perspective and vary camera hight

..Use 35mm prime where possible.

Colour for memories/reference in a series.

Monochrome for single images and/or FineArt.

There are many old B/W film negs that I wish were colour so now don't limit the options.

My Problem is: Not patient enough and I still shoot as though I am using rolls of film!

Shoot establishing shots then go for detail

When returning to a place concentrate on atmosphere and detail not on recording scenes
